The wonderfully subversive and capricious Nanny Piggins is a fantastic character. She has no time for the children’s miserly father. She takes no notice of modern healthy trends – children need chocolate she says and she takes Michael, Derrick and Samantha on the most hair-raising adventures (but everything always works out in the end- even when her arch-nemesis Nanny Anne is involved). This is a well written book that will make your children laugh and it will appeal to younger and older readers alike.
